Sometimes concrete can’t wait for a normal booking slot, a settlement date, an inspection, a shed delivery already scheduled, or a slab that’s cracked and needs replacing before something else can go ahead. We take on last-minute and weekend jobs across Perth’s northern suburbs when the timeline’s genuinely tight, not as a standing promise, but because we’d rather tell you straight whether we can make it work.
Who it suits
Anyone with a hard deadline bearing down, a settlement, a trade booked in behind you, or a job that’s suddenly become urgent because of weather or a site issue. It also suits people who’ve had another concreter fall through at short notice and need someone who can actually turn up and get it done.
What CJH actually does
Even under time pressure, the process doesn’t get skipped, it gets compressed:
- Site prep. Excavation and base compaction, done properly even on a tight schedule.
- Formwork. Set out accurately, rushing this step is how you end up with a driveway that doesn’t drain right.
- Reinforcement. Mesh or reo laid as normal, urgency isn’t a reason to cut corners on what holds the slab together.
- The pour. Plain or exposed aggregate, whatever the job calls for.
- The finish. Same finish quality as any other job, broomed or washed back, sealed if it’s exposed aggregate.
Where we’ve done it
We’ve turned around a last-minute driveway pour in Merriwa, and taken an emergency Sunday call-out in Fremantle when a client needed concrete done sooner rather than later. Both jobs got the same prep and finish as anything else we pour, the only difference was how quickly we moved to get on site.
What drives the price
Pricing follows the same Perth market guide as any other job, roughly ~$70-$90/m2 for plain concrete and ~$100-$150/m2 for exposed aggregate. Urgency doesn’t add a premium on its own; what changes is whether we can fit the job into the schedule at all. Call early if you know a deadline’s coming.

Can you do a same-week concrete job?
Sometimes, it depends on our current bookings and the size of the job. Call us on 0476 722 330 and we'll give you a straight answer on whether we can fit you in.
Do you work weekends?
We've taken on weekend jobs when clients have needed it, including a Sunday call-out in Fremantle. We're not on call around the clock, but if timing matters, tell us and we'll see what's possible.
Does a fast turnaround cost more?
Not automatically. Pricing is still based on the job itself, the finish, the size and the site, not on how quickly you need it. We'll always give you a proper quote rather than charging extra just because it's urgent.
What if I have a tight deadline, like settlement or an inspection?
